The Impeachment of Dick Cheney and other fairy tales
Democratic Congressman Robert Wexler has been blowing a big horn calling for the impeachment of the Dark Lord puppet master Dick Cheney.
I must give credit to the Congressman for having the balls to stand up and speak about he who should not be named, however as with all else when reality finally catches up the House and Senate will most likely again tuck their tail and be bulldozed over by the intellect and charm of the Bush regime.
In Wexler’s article of Why We Need Hearings the Congressman makes a case backed by strong facts as he compares the ridiculous cries for impeachment of former President Bill Clinton and the realities of possible “high crimes and misdemeanors” that may have been committed by Vice President Dick Cheney.
Wexler states that when Congress gets back together in January 2008 he will present his findings along with his list of over 134,000 citizens that have signed on with their support of impeachment to the floor. However with steps 5, 7, and 9 of the “10 Steps to Fascism” almost in place by the Bush empire could these individuals be unconstitutionally targeted as domestic terrorists because they act upon a duty as patriots and citizens of the United States?
Keep in mind that no matter how hard the administration may try and contort and deface the Constitution, we have NO SYSTEM OF ROYALTY in this country and Bush and Cheney despite what some may think are just ordinary men and are bound by our laws and subject to punishment and judgment as any other citizen.
So kudos to Robert Wexler, unfortunately we may just see another display of tail between leg syndrome in the House!

Let me guess! Is this the writing of a ‘JustPissedOff’ Democrat? Nah! Can’t be, because the writer refers to “the intellect and charm of the Bush regime”. Or is that what is known as sarcasm? Surely catchy phrases like “Dark Lord puppet master” and “10 Steps to Fascism” are part of the ‘Donkey Agenda’.
While the writer wonders whether the do-nothing Congress will follow-through on impeaching Cheney, he/she might want to consider some real facts, if only for the sheer novelty of it. Trying to impeach Cheney is a complete waste of time and taxpayer dollars, since Bush will be out of office before a hearing could be completed. (A fact I’m certain Wexler is aware of, even with all his ’showboating’.)
In the meantime, I wonder whether Congress will even finish all the things they left undone before they went on ‘vacation’ again. Hmmm?

I liked your piece. It was very well written. A couple of times you mentioned that Congress cannot get anything done. I think that’s great. Let the Dems fool around and waste their time trying to impeach Cheney. It won’t happen, because cooler, more intelligent minds will prevail.
